Qatar to Host 10th GCC Junior Football Championship

Doha, August 04 (QNA) - Qatar will host the 10th GCC Juniors Football Championship at Aspire Academy from September 3 to 12 next month, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) said. Qatar is placed in Group (A) along with Kuwait and Oman while Group (B) includes Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates. Qatar will take on Kuwait in the opening match of the tournament on September 3 while Saudi Arabi will clash with United Arab Emirates in the second match. Qatar will also participate in the qualifications for the 2014 AFC Under-16 Cup. Kyrgyzstan will host group (B) of the qualifying event, that includes Qatar, Oman, Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan. (QNA)
