MOI's Strategic Planning Department Organizes a Training Course for Liaison Officers

Doha, July 29 (QNA) - The Strategic Planning Department of the Ministry of Interior organized at the hall of Directorate General of Border Passports and Expatriates Affairs a training course for liaison officers at departments of the Ministry of the Interior on the strategic management system programme. Speaking at the three-day training session,Colonel Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti, Director of Strategic Planning confirmed that strategic management system is a new programme of its kind in the process of measuring and monitoring the implementation of the strategy not only at the Ministry of Interior but at all executive and follow-up organs assigned to implement programmes and strategic projects of the state. He said the Ministry of Interior is striving to develop and improve its performance through a clear and accurate mechanism for monitoring, follow-up and evaluation of the performance level which is considered one of the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior 2011 - 2016 . He pointed out that the new system is a joint effort between specialists at the Strategic Planning Department and Management Information Systems Department that contributes to transfer the Ministry of Interior to a non-paper institution as well as it realizes the continuous follow-up for the performance and the departments' commitment to the implementation of the strategy in accordance with the deadlines and orienting the departments in case of delay or non-commitment with implementing the regulations identified for achieving the objectives.(QNA)
