UAE President receives letter from Chinese President
WAM Abu Dhabi, Nov 10, 2008 (WAM) - President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday a letter from Chinese President Hu Jintao dealing with further development of bilateral relations, cooperation and friendship between UAE and China.
The letter, which also discussed issues of common concern, was delivered to Sheikh Khalifa by the visiting Chinese Defence Minister Liang Guanglie. Sheikh Khalifa received the Chinese official at the Al Bateen Palace.
Welcoming the visiting dignitary, the President alluded to the growing relations between UAE and China, as well as the keenness of both the countries to widen the horizons of joint cooperation in various avenues, especially the in the fields of military and technology. Sheikh Khalifa hailed the economic and technological development China has achieved.
During the audience, they also reviewed the avenues of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, and exchanged views on the latest developments of mutual concern on the regional and international levels.
The Chinese Defence Minister expressed his happiness over the opportunity to visit UAE and meet the President, and hailed the growth of bilateral relations, cooperation and friendship between UAE and China in the best interests of the people of both countries.
President asked the minister to convey his greetings to the Chinese President Hu Jintao, wishing him health and the people of China continued prosperity.
