UAE VP holds talks with Chinese Defence Minister
Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received yesterday at the Emirates Palace visiting Chinese Defence Minister Liang Guanglie.
They reviewed relations of cooperation between the UAE and China in the fields of military training and exchange of expertise and skills.
The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also took stock of the security situation in the region and the world at large. Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of cementing the foundations of regional and international peace and stability.
For his part, the Chinese defence minister affirmed the sincere desire of the political and military leaders in China to further bolster the historic relations of friendship and cooperation with the UAE.
He also lauded the wise policy adopted by the UAE leadership for making progress, prosperity and stability.
