First ladies of Arab countries hail the role of Sheikha Fatima in supporting woman's renaissance
The First ladies of a number of Arab countries hailed the pioneering role played by HH Sheikha Fatima in supporting the revival of women in UAE and other Arab countries.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) in Abu Dhabi all of them unanimously said that the second edition of the Arab Women Organisation (AWO) conference will bring results, which will enormously accelerate the march of Arab women into progress.
The conference will kick off at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi on 11th November and will continue for three days.
Wife of the King of Bahrain and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of Women Sheikha Sabikah Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa said that she always admired the efforts of Sheikha Fatima in supporting the renaissance of Arab women wherever they are.
Sheikha Fatima's three decades of struggle to empower women in UAE have been successful, as they made several achievements in many fields, she noted.
Chairperson of the Committee of Women Affairs in Kuwait Sheikha Latifa Al Fahd Al Salem Al Sabah said that Sheikha Fatima, since birth of the UAE, has worked hard to lead women into progress, ensuring their participation in the political, economic, social and developmental fields.
Sheikha Fatima has always been solicitous to empower Arab women and lead them into progress, Sheikha Latifa added.
Wife of Syrian President Asma Al Assad, has also applauded the efforts of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak on backing the Arab women issues at the Arab and international arenas.
She said, "Sheikha Fatima is one of the Arab pioneers in the Gulf and Arab world when it comes to backing of the Arab women issues".
First Syrian Lady added that Sheikha Fatima persevered effectively to develop the community through hammering on the role of women, which is inseparable in the developmental process. "She has initiated programmes and offered aid. Her current chairwomanship is effective".
About Syrian women, Asma said they occupy effective posts and present at all sectors.
