Qatari Handball Team Finishes World Cup in 19th Place

Sarajevo, July 23 (QNA) - The Qatari youth handball team concluded Tuesday its World Cup campaign in 19th place after defeating Kuwait 38-22. The match was played to decide the 19th and 20th placed teams of the championship. The Egyptian team defeated its Bosnian counterpart 28-25 to qualify to the last eight of the competition. Other scores included a shock win for France against Germany, to prevent the latter to win the title for a third consecutive time. Brazil also arrived to the quarter-finals for the first time in its history after defeating Slovenia 25-21. The remaining teams that qualified to the quarter finals were Sweden, Croatia, Switzerland and Hungary. (QNA)
