MP: Iran-Japan to review expansion of mutual, regional co-op
Majlis Representative Hossein Fadaeiyan met on Sunday with Japanese Ambassador to Tehran Akio Shirota to discuss expansion of mutual as well as regional cooperation.
At the meeting, Fadaeiyan referred to the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and said the entire region will benefit from expansion of Iran-Japan ties.
According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Majlis, he highlighted the significant role of parliamentary cooperation in the global diplomacy.
The Japanese ambassador, for his part, underlined the prominent role of Iran in regional developments and said Japan attaches importance to expansion of relations with Iran.
Japan has always sought Iran's development and progress in various fields and is ready to put all experiences at the disposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran and benefit from their experiences as well, he said. /end
