3rd national anti- bilharzias campaign launched
GOVERNORATES, Nov. 09 (Saba)- Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Kareem
Rasa launched on Sunday third national anti bilharzias campaign which is organized
by the national program of combating bilharzias in cooperation with the World Bank
and World Health Organization.
In his media statement, Rasa said that the campaign comes within efforts of the
country to combat this disease, adding that the campaigns target around 2.2 million
children.
The four-day campaign targets 680,504 children between 6-18 years old, the minister
said, it covers Sana'a, Hodeidah, Ibb, Shabwa, Saada and Lahj.
He made it clear that the campaign comes within electoral platform of President Ali
Abdullah Saleh in the health sector, calling on parents and local councils to
cooperate with teams of the campaign to bring it into success.
