NPC enlightens students on population, family planning issues

SANA'A, Nov. 09 (Saba) - The National Population Council (NPC) launched on Sunday
activities of the field visits to spread awareness of population and family planning
issues among students in six schools at the Capital of Sana'a.

The NPC's Secretary General Ahmed Borji said that the activities would last for
three days aiming at enlightening youth, future parents as he called, on the
significance of issues of population and reproductive health.

The population growth average in Yemen is one of the highest in the world, Borji
said, accenting that would affect negatively the economic situation, health
services, education and job opportunities.

As the population growth average keeps moving up, the population in the country will
reach 61 million in 2033, he added.
