Qatar Handicapped Athletes Team to Participate in World Paralympic Championships
Doha, July 13 (QNA) - Qatar athletes team for persons with special needs will participate in the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Athletics Championships, due to held in the French city of Lyon during the period from 14 to 30 July.
The Qatari mission is headed by Mohamed Duhaim Al Dossari, Member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Sports Federation for Persons with Special Needs and also includes Mohammed Suhail, technical manager, players Abdurrahman Abdul Qadir and Sarah Hamdi as well as coaches Ahsan Abu Thaljah, Al Waleed Maghmoul and Anis Abu Ghamourah.
Head of the mission Mohamed Al-Dossari said the championship is held every two years with the participation of more than a thousand players from different world continents, expecting that the championship will see strong levels of competition in the various games. He hoped that Qatar's players would achieve advanced positions and raise the flag of Qatar in this international event.
Al Dossari said the world championship 2015, which will be held in Qatar and for first time held in an Arab country, would be a great gain to Qatar Sports Federation for Persons with Special Needs, thanks to the unlimited support and care given by officials the various sports of youth, especially sports of people with special needs.(QNA)
