QTA Announces Winners Of "Hotel Quality Rating Program"

Doha , July 08 (QNA) - Qatar Tourism Authority ( QTA ) announced Monday the recipients of the "Hotels Quality Rating Program" awards. The program is conducted in collaboration with a specialized international agency aims to improve the quality of services in the hospitality and tourism industry. QTA released a statement today and said that Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority Issa Bin Mohammed Al Muhannadi presented the awards to representatives of hotels that received a rating of 90% and above. The Chairman of QTA said : "We congratulate the winning hotels on this award that reflects our appreciation of the hospitality industry's efforts in enhancing the level of services offered in Qatar. This program is one in a series of initiatives carried out by QTA to ensure the highest quality within the hospitality and tourism industries." He added that the award will also drive other hotels to improve their services further. The Hotel Quality Rating Program evaluated the services and facilities provided by the hotels in Qatar, including rooms, restaurants, reception, health club and others. Six hotels won the award, they are: Kempinski Residences & Suites, The St. Regis Doha, Oryx Rotana Hotel, W Doha Hotel & Residences, La Cigale Hotel and Wyndham Grand Regency. The program involved employing mystery guests who selected hotels in Qatar and tested their services and facilities during a 2 or 3-day stay. the guests assess the level of the services and the facilities of the hotel in addition to the staff's ability to resolve fabricated problems. QTA is currently working on a number of initiatives that will contribute to the growth and development of the tourism industry, particularly with the release of its new strategy to be made soon.
