RI EDUCATION MINISTER VISITS AUSTRALIA
Brisbane, Nov 8 (ANTARA) - Indonesian Education Minister Bambang Sudibyo and the rectors of six top Indonesian universities are expected to arrive in Canberra on Sunday for a four-day visit to promote cooperation in elemetary, secondary and tertiary education between the two countries.
Acting attache of education and culture at the Indonesian embassy in Canberra, Yoni Utomo, said here on Saturday the visit marked the two countries' closer relationship and opened a wider opportunity for the two countries' cooperation in the education field.
While in Canberra Bambang Sudibyo would sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in elemetary to tertiary education with his Australian counterpart, Julia Gillard.
He is also scheduled to meet with the Forum of Australia University Rectors and Indonesian students and community before returning home on Tuesday.***
