Prince Khalid Alfaisal holds press conference
Makkah, November 08 , SPA -- Prince Khalid Alfaisal bin Abdulaziz,
Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee,
held here today a press conference to highlight preparations for this
year's Hajj and to urge compliance with instructions and regulations
of Hajj.
During the press conference, attended by Minister of Hajj Dr. Foad
Alfarsi, Prince Khalid underlined the care by Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin
Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and
Inspector General, for the development of Hajj services.
Prince Khalid stressed the Saudi leadership's determination to
prevent violations of Hajj regulations.
He urged all concerned agencies to work as one team to provide good
services to pilgrims.
Prince Khalid said that Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior
Minister and Chairman of the Higher Hajj Committee, has approved that
the governorate of Makkah region should supervise the implementation
of the media campaign to urge citizens and expatriates to adhere to
the regulations of Hajj with participation by Public Security,
Passports and the ministries of Hajj, Culture and Information and
Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance.
Prince Khalid stated that the campaign's main goal is to urge people
not to go to Hajj without an official permit, to prevent unauthorized
vehicles from entering Makkah and the holy places and to warn against
false Hajj campaigns unauthorized by the Ministry of Hajj.
