QFCHT Concludes Voluntary Work Program
Doha, July 03 (QNA) - A seven-day voluntary program organized by Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT) concluded today.
Held under the slogan 'Imprint in My Life 4', the program, which saw the participation of more than 35 secondary school students, included two workshops. The first workshop entitled 'the phenomenon of human trafficking' underscored the dangers of this crime and sought to raise students’ awareness about the methods used by traffickers to hunt their victims.
The second one introduced the participants to the QFCHT and the Qatari House for Lodging and Human Care, services and programs rendered when a case is reported to the Qatar House as well as actions to be taken to help the victim. The workshop screened a documentary film on ways used to smuggle and sell the minor girls or exploit them in the prostitution and begging, clarifying the international efforts to combat this phenomenon.
During the voluntary program, the students paid visits to the United Nations Centre for Documentation and Training in the field of human rights, and Al Arabi Sports Club. (QNA)
