Al-Hajri : " We Work to Develop Qatari-Croatian Relations in Investment and Energy Sectors"

Doha, July 01 (QNA) -- HE the Assistant Minister of State for Foreign Affairs bin Fahd Al-Hajri, affirmed the importance of Croatia's formal accession to the European Union today, praising relations between Qatar and Croatia. In reply to a question by Qatar News Agency (QNA) after attending a celebration held by the Croatian Embassy in Doha on the occasion of Croatia's accession to the EU, Al-Hajri said that the State of Qatar and Croatia have deep-rooted ties since the independence of Croatia and I was honored to be a non-resident ambassador of Qatar to Croatia. He noted that the Qatari- Croatian relations are important and are progressing on the right track, hoping that they would be developed in the areas of energy and investment in the future . On the negotiations between the GCC foreign ministers and their European counterparts at the meeting which they held yesterday in Bahrain, he described relations between the two sides as "historical" and "on the right track. " He also said "it is a historical moment for us to be present at the Croatian Embassy to mark this important event, and I think that Croatia will be a new addition to the European Union." "We, in the State of Qatar and the Arab world attach hope to a strong relationship with the European Union, and I think that Croatia will contribute in this domain ,describing Croatia as "a bridge between the West and the Arab world," he added.(QNA)
