HE Energy, Industry Minister Leave for Moscow Gas Summit

Doha, June 28 (QNA) - HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada on Friday left for Moscow, heading Qatar's delegation to the 2nd Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). The summit is set to discuss cooperation between member states and opening new channels of dialogue with consumer countries as a continuation to what has been agreed to in the 2011 Doha summit. The summit is also expected to endorse a final statement reaffirming the principles agreed to in Doha, which include highlighting natural gas as a source of clean energy, a statement issued by Qatar Petroleum said. Dr. Al-Sada will also take part in the GECF extraordinary ministerial meeting, which will be held ahead of the summit to discuss and approve its working agenda and final statement.
