Over 30 schoolgirls injured in car accident

POHANG, South Korea, Nov. 8 (Yonhap) -- More than 30 high school students were wounded as their bus veered off a road in a southern South Korean city, police said Saturday.

The bus, carrying about 40 students from a local women's high school, fell into a
rice paddy alongside the road in Pohang, about 370km southeast of Seoul, police
said. The students were heading to the ancient city of Andong for a one-day
excursion.
The injured were sent to local hospitals but it was not immediately known how
serious their wounds are. Police are looking into the exact cause of the
accident.
