Yemen, WB discuss aid for fishery sector

SANA'A, Nov. 07 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank (WB) discussed here on
Friday the financial and technical assistance WB offers to the
fishery sector in the country.

Minister of Fishery Wealth Mohammed Shamlan reviewed with the WB
regional director for the Middle East and North Africa Area Emma
Noyle damages in the fishery infrastructure projects due to rain
storm struck the eastern governorate of Hadramout and Mahrah.

The WB's official expressed the bank's readiness to offer all kind
of aid as well as financing the national strategy for fishery
sector, highlighting that the WB is working now on preparing a
strategy to assist Yemen for the four coming years in all sector,
putting the fishery sector in the top of its priority.

Shamlan praised the WB's efforts to alleviate the disaster's impacts
through paying field visits and counting the damages in the fishery
sector, noting that the ministry would take the WB's notes in
consideration.
