Darfur Regional Authority Chairman Hails Historic Power Transfer in Qatar

Khartoum, June 26 (QNA) - The transfer of power in the State of Qatar to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is a historic move that will complete the development process in the country which was led by HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of Darfur Regional Authority Dr. Al-Tijani Al-Sisi said. Dr. Al-Sisi underlined in press statements that Qatar's new leadership under HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will contribute effectively to the Arab and Islamic issues, and to the issue of Darfur in particular, based on its wide experience in this regard. He praised HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's handover of power to HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, saying that such move is only taken by few leaders who are characterized by wisdom and high rationality. He also hailed the huge accomplishments achieved by HH Sheikh Hamad at all local, regional and international levels. For his part, political adviser for the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) Nahar Othman Nahar announced in press statements that the JEM congratulates the new Qatari leadership and praised HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for his role in establishing peace and stability in Darfur. He added that HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was following up the peace process in Darfur, adding that JEM leaders had previously met with HH the Emir and received overwhelming response.
