Vice President Jusuf Kalla has strongly denied speculation that Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati had threatened to resign over a debacle involving a coal company owned by the Bakrie family, the nation's richest and most politicall wired. "The speculation is not true. There is no difference of opinion among government officials over the issue," Kalla said.

DIESEL OIL PRICE TO BE LOWERED
After having decided to cut subsidized premium gasoline price by Rp500 from Rp6,000 to Rp5,500 per liter, the government is likely to lower diesel oil and kerosene prices on condition that global crude price at international markets drops to US$60 per barrel.
