LOCAL MUSICIANS SUPPORT WWF INDONESIA
Jakarta,Nov 7 (ANTARA) - World Wild Life Fund (WWF) Indonesia received financial assistance from a some local musicians donating their songs' ring back tone sales proceeds.
In its press release, WWF said that the participating musicians here Friday are Katon Bagaskara and his brother Nugie.
The cooperation was also based on an MoU signing between the Indonesian WWF director, Mubariq Ahmad and Katon Bagaskara-Nugie on Nov 6, 2008.
Mubariq said that the signing of the MoU was an important and historical event in supporting his foundation's conservation activities.
Beside that, the Indonesian WWF needs more public figures and personalities who would support environment conservation, Mubariq said.
It is because of that that they have many copyrights and intellectual property rights to help the socialization of environment consciousness, especially in cities, he said.
Mubariq also said that his optimism in this kind of collaboration would increase the people's consciousness to save their environment.
