Foreign Minister meets Bundestag delegation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister for Foreign Affairs L.Bold received Monday Germany delegation led by Mr Gero Storjohann, a deputy head of the Petitions Committee of the Germany’s Bundestag. The Minister talked about the foreign policy concept of the cabinet for reforms, its measures and the Mongolia-Germany relations and cooperation, and expressed his hope that the visit of Bundestag delegation will contribute to enriching the bilateral cooperation with new contents. Mr Bold emphasized that the recently ran 2nd Mongolia-Germany intergovernmental working group meeting and a visit of the Bundestag Vice President were successful. Then he expressed his satisfaction with achievements in producing liquid fuel from coal, establishing a coke coal factory, producing energy and founding a joint institute of preparing specialists for mineral and technological sectors. In turn, the Bundestag members said they are appreciated with widening of the bilateral cooperation between the legislative bodies , and congratulated Mongolia for succeeding at fighting against corruption and achievements in education, mining and mineral spheres. They also interested in issues on the regional political and economic ties, development of economic free-zone, investment, tax and tourism sectors. The Germany’s side expressed its readiness to strengthen the bilateral cooperation.
