Part of Salwa Road to be Closed for Two Days

Doha, June 17 (QNA) - A section of the Salwa service road coming from Al Asiri Interchange heading to Al Waab area will be closed from 5 pm on Thursday June 20 and will reopen at 11 am on Saturday June 22, the Public Works Authority Ashghal said today. The Authority said the closure was part of the development works on Salwa service roads. It added that D-Ring Road users coming from New Slata area heading to Salwa Main Road shall use the alternate roads during the temporary closure (as per the attached map). Diverting traffic away from the main construction works on Salwa Road will ensure safety and smooth traffic flow to Al Waab area. Upon completion, Salwa Road will facilitate travel through its new four lanes in each direction, and four underpasses; in addition to the development of four new interchanges. Salwa Road development is part of the Expressway Programme; a nationwide road infrastructure programme carried out by Ashghal to improve the way people and places are connected across Qatar.(QNA)
