AZERBAIJANI SPEAKER MEETS CHIEF OF TURKISH GENERAL STAFF

Baku, 7 November,(AzerTAj)Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament Ogtay Asadov met Thursday a Turkish delegation led by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Army General Ilker Basbug. Asadov said Azerbaijan-Turkey relations develop in all spheres, including in the military one.

The Speaker highly praised Turkey`s assistance to Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry. “Azerbaijan has always felt Turkey`s support in its hour of need” Asadov said.

The Azeri Speaker praised the fact Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has made his first official visit to Turkey after his re-election.
Asadov welcomed Turkey`s efforts towards resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh problem within Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.

General Basbug said his country supports settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
within Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and based on principles and norms of the
international law.
He said Turkey will always be side by side with Azerbaijan.
