JAMBI'S FOREIGN TRADE BALANCE REACHES US$ 65.13 MILLION SURPLUS

Jambi, Indonesia, Nov 6 (ANTARA) - Jambi's foreign balance of trade reached a surplus of US$ 65.13 million compared to last August's US$ 91.32 million, which is a US$ 26.18 million decrease in value, an official said here Thursday.
The surplus resulted from exports worth US$ 81.51 million and 97.43 thousand tons in volume, while imports reached 7.78 thousand tons worth US$ 16.37 million.
The surplus was contributed by Japan with a value of US$ 17.21 million, and exports worth US$ 18.96 million, while imports worth of US$ 1.75 million, Ahmad Fauzie, head of the Distribution Bureau of Statistics, Jambi chapter, said.
Other countries coming after Japan were Singapore, the US, and China with a surplus of US$ 16.47 million, US$ 10.40 million, and US$ 10.18 million respectively.
Total surplus of Jambi's balance of trade from January to September reached US$ 662.82 million with exports valued at US$ 781.12 million and imports US$ 96.45 million. Meanwhile the total exports volume reached 802.94 thousand tons and imports only 96.45 thousand tons.
