BQFP Concludes Educational Program

Doha, June 16 (QNA) - Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Publishing (BQFP) has concluded an educational programme for communicating with private schools for the 2012-2013 Academic Year's second semester. The programme offered a number of workshops for teachers and parents and organized a variety of competitions for students. "One, two, read!" program dedicated to the training of librarians was also among this year's activities. A statement issued by Bloomsbury today said that the support educational programme aims at discussing the necessary strategies that would encourage young students to read for pleasure, and therefore increase academic achievement and graduation rates. More than 700 parents, teachers, students and librarians representing 50 schools took part in this year's program while students from 12 elementary, preparatory and secondary schools have participated in art and literary contests as part of marking the World Book Day.
