Bank of Mongolia reports

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Bank of Mongolia has reported that money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of May of this year reached to MNT 7908.9 billion, increasing by of MNT 711.4 billion or 9.9 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 1179.3 billion or 17.5 per cent against the previous year. A currency issued in circulation reached MNT 831.0 billion, increasing by MNT 71.2 billion or 9.4 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 48.1 billion or 6.1 per cent against the previous year. Loans outstanding at the end of May 2013 amounted to MNT 8226.4 billion, increasing by MNT 462.4 billion or 6.0 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 2105.2 billion or 34.4 per cent against the previous year. Principals in arrears at the end of May 2013 reached MNT 146.4 billion, increasing by MNT 35.5 billion or 32.0 per cent against the previous month, by MNT 86.3 billion or 2.4 times compared to same period of the previous year. The non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 318.0 billion, increasing by MNT 7.5 billion or 2.4 per cent against the previous month, MNT 2.3 billion or 0.7 per cent against the previous year. 20.2 million shares valued MNT 11.4 billion were sold in first five months of this year. The shares trading decreased by MNT 7.4 billion or 39.4 per cent, and by MNT 22.0 million or 52.1 per cent compared to same period of the previous year.
