WAFF Sets Deadline for 8th Championship Participation

Doha, June 11 (QNA) - The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) has set 4 July 2013 deadline for receiving applications to participate in the 8th West Asian Football Federation Championship, which is scheduled to take place during the period from 25th December this year to 7th January next year.      This came in a message sent by the WAFF to the Qatar Football Association today on receiving applications.       Syria is the holder of the tournament's title, which took place last year in Kuwait and saw the participation of 13 teams. Iran has won a record four championships against one for each of Syria, Iraq and Kuwait. (QNA)
