Qatar Condemns Israeli Practices Aiming to Judaize Al Quds

Geneva, June 11 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has strongly the israeli continuing israeli ttacks against the islamic and christian religious sanctities along with the Israeli policies and practices aiming at judaizing the holy city of Al Quds and attempts to wipe out its cultural , religious and historical feartures and characteristics . This came in the speech delivered by Jassim Al-Moawdeh , the Third Secretary of the permanent representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Geneva office before the 23rd regular session of UN the Human Rights Council meeting ,now in session here Tuesday as part of the general deliberation on the case of the human rights in Palestine and the other occupied arab lands. Al-Moawdeh pointed to the initiative HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani launched at the 24th Arab Summit held in Doha 2013 for the setting up a USD 1 billion fund for financing projects and programs that maintain the Islamic-Arabic identity of the holy city of Al Quds adding that Qatar has contributed USD 250 million to the fund. The Qatari senior official also referred to the call of HH the Emir of Qatar for developing a comprehensive strategy to cover the different projects which the holy city of Al Quds needs. Al-Moawdeh reiterated Qatar's condemnation for the continuation of the Israel's occupation of Palestinian and Arab lands, and its committment of the worst barbaric massacres against the Palestinians, and the arrest of thousands of Palestinian and prisoners in inhuman, degrading and humiliated detention conditions contrary to all international laws, the matter which clearly revealed how the arrogance of Israel, and its blatant defying of international laws and conventionsand resolutions.    He pointed also to Israel's policies of racism and settlement and its violation of all the rights of the Palestinian people, and in a way designed to change the nature of the population and geography of the occupied Palestinian territory, considering that as posing a real threat to the possibility of holding peace negotiations, and the possibility of applying the two-state solution based on the borders prior to 1967. Concluding the third secretary of the permanent representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Geneva office before the 23rd regular session of UN the Human Rights Council meeting ,reaffirmed his country's constant support and consolidation for the Palestinian people until they regain their legitimate rights including their right to self determination and estbalishing their independent state with Al Quds as its capital.
