Two Saudi relief cargo planes arrive in Pakistan
Quetta, Pakistan, November 06, SPA -- Two Saudi relief cargo planes,
part of an airlift ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to extend urgent assistance to
quake-hit people and areas, arrived at Quetta airport in the
Pakistani Province of Bluchestan today.
The planes, laden with 20 tons of foodstuffs, medical materials,
tents, and blankets, arrived in Quetta Samagli airbase.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan received the
consignments, thanking the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for its assistance
to Pakistani people.
For his part, Khalid Al-Sharhan, senior member of the Saudi relief
delegation, told the Saudi Press Agency that the aid extended by
Saudi Arabia comes within the principles of human values and duties
towards its sister Islamic countries and peoples.
He said the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to provide assistance to
Pakistani needy people come as embodiment of the ties of fraternity
and sincerity between the two countries.
