Ministry of Justice Organized Two Workshops on Financial Crimes

Doha, June 09 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim opened this morning two workshops on financial crimes organized by the Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training at the US Justice Department. Addressing the workshop's opening session, the Minister of Justice said "The State of Qatar is keen to develop legislation sat all levels, and to raise the level of legal work and people working in that field, saying many legislations have been enacted to achieve that end and that keenness was culminated in the establishment of the Justice Ministry's Centre of Legal and Judicial Studies to train all legal personnel, whether judges, prosecutors, legal researchers at government bodies, lawyers, judge's assistants at courts or those given judicial control authority. He added that over the past ten years, the state paid gave special attention to the centre in order to assume a special position as a training and research centre , and a beacon to develop and update the scientific and applied capacities, so that each of them can perform his professional duties to the fullest, and to achieve the goals of the modern legal state, and Qatar Vision 2030.
