Vietnam, Laos army medical experts meet

Hanoi (VNA) -A meeting between officials from Vietnam and Laos ,
focusing on army medical science opened in Hanoi on November 6.

Prominent at the meeting were Deputy Minister of Defence, Senior
Lieutenant General Nguyen Huy Hieu, First Secretary of the Laos Embassy in
Vietnam Van Dibua Thasavong, among numerous scientists, professors and
doctors from Vietnam and Laos ' Military Hospitals 108.

The meeting aims to review the cooperation in special sciences between the
two hospitals in accordance with a protocol signed by both Vietnam and
Laos ' Ministries of Defence in 2005.

As many as 16 scientific reports and speeches were presented at the
meeting to facilitate the exchange of experiences in the fields of
diagnosis, emergency and treatment.

Addressing the meeting, the senior lieutenant general expressed his hope
that the two countries' departments of military medicine and the two
hospitals will further increase their cooperation, exchange medical
techniques and assist with the training of each other's medical
