BALI STABILIZES INTERNATIONAL SECURITY SYSTEM
Denpasar, Nov 6 (ANTARA) - The Bali provincial administration has made every effort to place the international security system on a firm basis to create a sense of security and safety for holiday makers in the resort island.
"The international security system is stabilized by tightening security at every entry point such as seaports and airports in Bali," Governor Made Mangku Pastika said in a written message read out by deputy Governor Aan Puspoyo in a Provincial Legislative Assembly (DPRD) plenary session here on Thursday.
He said security personnel were also keeping visitors under constant surveillance while familiarizing the "Strategic Emergency Service Response" to support the international standard security system in Bali.
The governor hoped that such an effort and breakthrough would be able to realize a short-term international security system in the resort island.
"In the long run, integrated security system will be applied to 23 points and it is expected to be stepped up to 1,000 points in tourist resorts, seaports, airports, and bus terminals," Governor Pastika said.
He also hoped that tourists and other visitors to Bali would also like to maintain tight security and safety.
According to Governor Pastika, the provincial administration had built an infrastructure system and installed five CCTVs at five strategic points.
In addition, the study on international security system was also conducted in cooperation with the University of Indonesia's post graduate program for police institutions.
The governor said the international security system was expected to make the tourists and visitors to Bali feel at home.
