OIC Chief condemns detention of Kashmiri leaders

Jeddah, November 06, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization
of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has
expressed his deep concern over the new wave of detention of the
Kashmiri leaders by the Indian forces.


While condemning the continued use of force against the Kashmiri
people, Professor Ihsanoglu appealed, once more, to the Indian
authorities to avoid excessive use of force and to immediately
release Kashmiri detainees in order to halt the deteriorating
security situation in the area, according to a latest press release
of the OIC.
