GCC Technical Education and Vocational Training Officials Visits Qatar Aeronautical College

Doha, June 05 (QNA) - A delegation of officials in charge of technical education and vocational training in GCC states today visited Qatar Aeronautical College in the context of their visit to Qatar to attend the 20th meeting of the committee on technical education and vocational training in the GCC countries, which was organized by the Ministry of Labour. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the College's sections, curricula, nature of study at the college, its approved programmes and its role in providing markets in the region with qualified cadres in the field of aviation. Director of Academic Affairs and Registration at the College Dr. Saeed Abdullah Suleiman briefed the visitors on the evolution of the college since its foundation and hitherto, the efforts of the country's wise leadership and its keenness to support this educational edifice and to promote it in order to keep pace with the comprehensive development currently underway in the state. The delegation also visited Qatar Technical Independent School where it got briefed on its educational programmes, sections, efforts in supporting vocational education and endeavour to continue the development of technological and applied sciences programmes to become a hub of competence and excellence in the field of vocational education and vocational training. The 20th meeting of the committee on technical education and vocational training in the GCC countries concluded sessions here yesterday. It discussed a number of issues related to the development of vocational education and the strengthening of cooperation in this area.(QNA)
