Mongolia exports 1.3 tons semi-processed gold

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ By the first five months of this year, Mongolia exported 1.3 tons of semi-processed gold valued USD 54.6 million. This shows a 85-percent increase against the same period of the previous year, meaning that only 0.7 tons of semi-processed gold was exported. An average price of gold slightly has gone down due to a stabilization in global economy's crisis, for example, a kilo of gold cost USD 46.4 thousand in 2012, now it decreased to 42 thousand. By June 4 of this year, the gold price stood at USD 1,376.5 per ounce.
