Advisory Council Discusses Number of Memos and Reports

Doha, June 03 (QNA) -The Advisory Council held on Monday its weekly regular session under its Speaker HE Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khulaifi. The session was attended by a delegation comprising trainees at the Legal and Judicial Studies Centre of the Ministry of Justice. On the occasion ,the Speaker of the Advisory Council gave a speech in he welcomed the trainees of the Legal and Judicial Studies Centre, expressing pleasure for their presence at the session in which the Council will discuss a number of topics of its agenda. Afterwards, Advisory Council Secretary General HE Fahd bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read out the agenda and the minutes that have been approved. The Council then endorsed the minutes of its previous session. Later, the following two memorandums were read out: 1 / A memorandum by the Cabinet General Secretariat addressed to the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning on recommendations of the Council on a draft law, amending some provisions of Law No. (19) of 2005 ,regulating the practice of engineering professions. 2 / A memorandum by the Cabinet General Secretariat addressed to the Office of HH the Emir on recommendations of the Council on a draft law to establish a fund of health and education. The Council took note of them. The Council also reviewed a draft law exempting some contracts of Qatar Airways and Qatar Aircraft Rental Company of income tax, and decided to transfer it to the Advisory Council's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee to study it and submit a report thereon. The council discussed the following reports: 1 / A report by the Advisory Council's Internal and External Affairs Committee on a draft law on the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). 2 / A report by the Joint Committee formed of the Advisory Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee and the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on a draft law to organize real estate development. 3 / A report by the Joint Committee of the Advisory Council's Internal and External Affairs Committee and the Public Utilities and Services committee on general debate request on traffic congestion in Doha. 4 / A report by the Advisory Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee on a draft law to organize the practice of Hajj and Umrah services and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Council of Ministers.(QNA)
