Abu Ras: President orders to offer YR 100,000 for each affected

SAYAON, Nov 05 (Saba)-Deputy Prime Minister for Internal Affairs
Sadaq Amin Abu Ras said on Wednesday that the president Ali Abdullah
Saleh has given order to offer YR 100,000 for each affected family
due to flood in Hadramout and Maharah.

During a meeting brought together representatives of popular and
charitable societies in the governorate of Hadramout, Abu Ras
affirmed importance of coordination between the local authority and
the societies to offer relief assistance for the affected people in
the two governorates.

He asked them to avoid double standard in offering assistance,
encouraging them to get assistance from international organizations
to distribute them to the affected people in a condition of
coordination with the Yemeni government.

For his part, the deputy governor of Hadramout Ahmed al-Janid said
that the number of people who were killed in the flood raised up to
71 persons and other nine are still missing.He valued efforts of the
organizations for their humanitarian role in offering relief
materials, saying that the future efforts should be focused on
rebuilding.
