Qatar Awqaf Ministry Honours 98 Students

Doha, June 02 (QNA) - The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs honoured 98 Qatari students who have completed the preliminary stage in learning the Holy Qur'an, as well as well as distinguished teachers at memorization centres during a ceremony organized at the Hall of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud. Head of the Section of the Holy Qur'an and its Sciences at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sultan Saad Al Badr praised the government's efforts for the encouragement of memorization of the Holy Qur'an and support for the memorization centres. In a speech he gave at the ceremony, Al Badr pointed out that the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has been keen on the spread of Quranic centres in most parts of the country and on care for the guidance of teachers, through the organizing of training courses on the foundations of education.(QNA)
