HE Energy and Industry Minister Attends OPEC's 163rd Ministerial Meeting

Doha, May 31 (QNA) - HE Minister Of Energy And Industry Dr. Mohamed Bin Saleh Al Sada, participated in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) 163rd ministerial meeting which started in Vienna, earlier Friday. The participants discussed a slew of topics, the latest developments of the global oil market, the price levels and the future oil demand of the OPEC member states. A number of other administrative issues inter-alia the appointment of a new secretary general of the OPEC was also taken up. It is worth to mention that the participants attending the OPEC's 163rd ministerial meeting are to select a new OPEC secretary general in light of a plan by the current OPEC Secretary General Abdalla Salem to retire, due to failure to choose between candidates from Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia.
