DP faction meets

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Industry and Agriculture Kh.Battulga gave a report on ongoing great construction works and other issues at a meeting of the Democratic Party's (DP) faction Monday. Last year, Mongolia sold 3,600 tons of cashmere, by May 24, some three thou. 770 tons are sold. The prices are fluctuating from 57 thous. to 66 thous. togrog per kilo thanks to running actions at the agricultural exchanges, while last year their were below MNT 40 thousand, Battulga said. He concluded that the economic transparency has improved thanks to activation of the agricultural exchange. From this autumn, livestock will be sold at auctions, so the country must run trainings for herdsmen on attending auctions, he said. After this report, the faction obliged the Minister to count the soums that have essential processing factories and to monitor participation of people in initiating proposals. In addition, the faction considered as necessity to adopt the law on controlling the consumption of alcoholic beverages. "We should discuss this matter together with people before legalizing the bill, main thing is that the law must not favor interests of groups of people or companies," the faction members said.
