Ambassador meets Secretary of Brunei Foreign Ministry

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian representatives expressed Mongolia's position on international and regional urgent problems at the ASEAN Regional Forum Senior Officials Meeting held May 22-25 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. Mongolia was represented at this meeting by Mr Ts.Jambaljorj, the Permanent Representative and Ambassador-at-Large of Mongolia to the ASEAN, and by Mr Ch.Bayarmonkh, the director of the Asia-Pacific Countries Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within the meeting, the Mongolian officials shared views with Dato Haji Erywan Pehin Yussof, a Permanent Secretary of Brunei's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on an opportunity to make Mongolia a partner of the ARF. Mr Jambaldorj said that the Mongolian Foreign Minister intends, during ARF and ASEAN Ministerial meetings which are to run in July, to propose hosting the "ASEAN+Mongolia" meeting in order to introduce its policy and actions on Asia-Pacific region and to officially express its willingness to become a partner of ARF. He asked the Bruneian side to support Mongolia. Backing these proposals, Mr Yussof promised to convey the willingness to Mongolia to related officials of Brunei.
