"Century 21 Qatar" Reveals Realization of "West End Park" Project
Doha, May 26 (QNA) - CENTURY 21 QATAR, the one-stop-shop that provides comprehensive real estate services to various stakeholders, has revealed the launch of " West End Park" a real estate mixed-use project that aims to cater to the commercial needs of the low income people at very competitive rates.
The project is strategically located at the Eastern side of the Industrial City of Doha and in close approach from the Doha City. The project is unique and distinguished from other real estate projects in the country, it targets different nationalities of the expatriate population, especially those coming from the Asian countries. The project provides facilities and elements of interests to people coming from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Southeast Asian communities including Philippines.
Mana Al Mana, Chairman of Century 21 Qatar said that the project is the fourth largest real estate project in Qatar; however, it is the first in terms of exclusivity, excellence and leadership when compared to the largest real estate mixed-use projects including the Lusail project, The Pearl-Qatar project and Msheireb. These projects focus on multiple residential and commercial, administrative activities, pointing out that the West End Park is regarded as a project that targets low-income class, and at the same time is characterized as a residential, commercial and entertaining while providing sports facilities to the residing families.
He stated the project provides high quality entertainment and residential services, at low prices that are suitable for the low income group of residents, so as to achieve the vision of the State of Qatar 2030. Meanwhile, creating an appropriate environment for tourists and expatriate residents, who wish to have access to affordable products through thousands of stores and shopping centers within the project.
He stressed that the goal of "West End Park" is not to manipulate prices, but it will undoubtedly reduce the high rent costs, explaining that with the increasing offers targeted to low-income categories, it will help to reduce prices, which was recently witnessed in Qatar and further expected to continue increasing during the growing demand.
In this regard, Al Mana stated that the Qatari market is adopting more projects that are targeted towards the limited income people, whose numbers are significantly increasing due to the high demand of companies that need more employees and workers for future projects that Qatar is intending to implement during the approaching period.
He pointed out that the West End Park project is among the largest projects which targets this category not only in Qatar but also in the region in general. He said, its difficult to repeat such project which is developed over a vast dedicated area. This recreational project is occupying more than 670 thousand square meters of land size, consisting of one of the largest amphitheaters not only in State of Qatar but in the Middle East with capacity of 14.500seating.
The project also includes the fourth cricket stadium in GCC region with a capacity of 13 thousand seats, four cinemas, a commercial shopping area covering 60 thousand square meters. The commercial center "Outlet" will accommodate international brands as well as outdoor events and bazaars.
He emphasized that the implementation of this project is a major achievement and a milestone for the private sector in the country, noting that this project is considered as the first government project in Qatar awarded to the private sector, moreover, it is also the first time that the government has entrusted a huge project such as this to the private sector.
For him, the government is promoting the private sector by awarding such mega projects.
Al Mana expressed his confidence in the role played by the Qatari private sector in the implementation of such mega projects in the country, stressing on the sector's ability to implement such projects, explaining that this project is managed by Century 21 Qatar part of Qatar Property Management.
On the timing of the project, Al Mana said: " the project will be delivered in four stages, the first stage of the project includes the largest hypermarket in Qatar covering an area of approximately 10 thousand square meters, a large medical clinic, exchange shops and banks; while the second phase will include a shopping center, the third phase will comprise of the Sports Zone and finally the fourth phase including the residential area to accommodate 80,000 residential units."
He pointed out that Century 21 Qatar had already signed lease contracts up to 45% of the project so far, while the remaining will be offered through Cityscape Qatar 2013 events.
"Century 21 Qatar" is participating at Cityscape Qatar 2013, which will be held from May 27 to 29 in Doha Exhibition Centre, therfore, it will be a good opportunity to introduce and present "West End Park" project for investors during the period of the exhibition.
Al Mana said that Cityscape Qatar is regarded as the premier event in the field of development and real estate investment in the region, which provides an integrated interactive platform to enhance communication and interaction between representatives of government agencies and major investors, consultants, architects, experts and the real estate sector concerned bodies as well as it provides a chance to discuss ways to boost the growth of the real estate market in Doha.
He explained that "Century 21 Qatar" is seeking to benefit heavily from the distinguished reputation of the event at the international level to highlight its new project that consists of high quality residential units, a wide range of facilities developed within an integrated infrastructure, health, social, educational, sports and tourist facilities.(QNA)
