QFBA Introduces 'Kawader' Project to Three Universities
Doha, May 26 (QNA) - Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), the country's top financial services training provider, has unveiled its new 'Kawader' programme by holding information sessions at three university campuses.
These information sessions took place at Stenden University Qatar, Qatar University and also at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar. The sessions were streamlined for 3rd and 4th year Qatari students as well as fresh university graduates who are choosing a career in the financial sector.
Kawader is a two part programme with the first part providing an overview of relevant topics such as Qatar's financial services sector, capital markets as well as legal and regulatory frameworks. Meanwhile, the second part builds upon this and also includes several introductions on banking, insurance, asset management as well as courses in financial English language, soft skills and corporate social responsibility, plus personal development program.
QFBA's Kawader programme is an elite and highly competitive one with only 15 applications selected to take part. The entire QFBA Kawader Project including QFBA's CEO, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Horr, university faculty, staff and students attended the sessions. In addition, Dr. Abdulaziz delivered all three presentations.
Dr. Abdulaziz said: "Kawader is designed to engage with young Qatari's and to set them up for a long career in the financial sector. QFBA also understands that it is vital for us to continually meet with and engage with potential Kawader candidates to ensure that the elite of the elite will take part in this unique programme."
Another information session has also been scheduled to take place at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in the coming weeks. Kawader was unveiled to the local media in last week's press conference that was held at QFBA's headquarters in West Bay. Thus far there has been a positive response from students and the media with all involved parties supporting this exclusive initiative. (QNA)
