Qatar Chamber and officials from Austria, France
Doha, May 22 (QNA) - A meeting was held today between representatives of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) and officials from Austria and France, currently visiting Doha.
A QCCI press release said that Director-General of the Chamber Remy Rowhani met with former Austrian Foreign Minister Erwin Lanc and Secretary-General of the Society for Austro-Arab Relations Fritz Edlinger.
The meeting dealt with a briefing on the new society which was founded in order to promote and develop cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, including the fields of economy, trade and investment.
The meeting also discussed preparations for organizing a global conference on Islamic banks and banking in Vienna during the spring of 2014 in which over 400 international figures will take part to discuss Islamic banking issues.
Meanwhile, OCCI Vice President Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar met with former Governor of Paris Daniel Canepa to discussed opportunities for cooperation between Qatari businessmen and their French peers in the consulting, infrastructure, maritime and transportation fields.(QNA)
