GCC Special Education Delegation Visits Shafallah Center

Doha, May 22 (QNA) - A delegation of GCC special education officials have visited the Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs in order to look at the facilities, services and care provided to the students. The delegation toured the departments of speech, language, occupational therapy, sensory effects, physical therapy, and autism, and also visited some of the classrooms. Dr. Abdullah Al Aqeel of Saudi Arabia said the Center is a source of pride not only for Qatar but also for GCC states as it provides due care for children with special needs according to the most advanced programs, systems and tools, adding that it is the first of its sort in the region. Dr. Amna Al Suwaidi, Shafallah technical advisor, and Ghada Al Rashed, head of communication and PR unit, also met with the delegation. (QNA)
