QNA Organizes Training Course on Public Speaking Art

Doha, May 19 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) will organize from May 27 to 29 a training course on the art of public speaking as part of a series of courses organized by the Department of Media Relations to qualify and train Qataris working in the media field . About 20 participants from government bodies in addition to a number of Qatar News Agency staff, will take part in the three-day training course which aims to develop methods of communication and enhance self-confidence to raise public speaking skills. Lectures during the training course will be given by Salem Hussein Al Jahoushi, a sound director at Al-Jazeera since 2005 and teacher of vocal skills at al Jazeera Training Centre since 2010. The Course's topics include the preparation of a good speech, control of nerves, voice training, body movements non-verbal communication, direct contact with the public, raising of self-confidence, creative use of construction of the speech and the full preparedness for all types of speeches at events and dialogues. The training courses, which are regularly organized by the Qatar News Agency, come in implementation of Emiri Decision No 51 of 2009 which entrusted QNA to organize training courses for Qatari media personnel to develop their media capacities and upgrade their professional skills.(QNA)
