Austria wants Iran's nuclear issue to be solved through dialog

Austrian Ambassador to Iran Michel Postel hoped that Iran's nuclear issue will be solved through dialogue and international regulations swiftly.

According to a report by Majlis News and Mass Media Department, he made the remark in a meeting with head of Iran-Austria
Parliamentary Friendship Group, Soleyman Jafarzadeh.

Postel further said that he is hopeful to take effective steps during his mission in Iran to develop ties between the two countries in all fields.

Jafarzadeh, for his part, referred to the history of good relations between the two nations and stressed the need to exchange diplomatic visits by them.

"Deepening Iran-Austria cooperation can play a crucial role in promoting peace, stability and sustainable security in the region," he maintained.

Referring to the role of Austria in EU and its geographical location, as linking east and west Europe, he also said that the country can help promote ties between Iran and EU.

Commenting on Iran's cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency, Jafarzadeh further said that it has had good cooperation with the Agency, has always presented transparent reports on its nuclear activities and has allowed its inspectors to visit nuclear installations.

He further noted that Majlis cannot ignore Iran's legitimate right to peaceful nuclear technology and will never permit anyone to trample upon it./end
