Yemeni-Swiss cooperation discussed

BERN, Nov. 04 (Saba)- Assistant Deputy for Foreign Ministry Khalid al-Akwa'a reviewed with the Swiss Deputy Foreign Minister Pier Halgh the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and means of reinforcing and improving them.

The two sides also discussed coordination between the two countries regarding the
different nominations for agencies of the international organizations and
consequences of floods disaster which took place in Yemen recently.

Al-Akwa'a acquainted the Swiss official with successes of reforms programs in the
financial and administrative fields as well as steps taken by the government to
provide a suitable environment for investment, calling Swiss businessmen to invest
in Yemen.

The Swiss official expressed admiration to the developments in Yemen at the
democratic level and respect of human rights, praising efforts of Yemen to settle
peace in Somalia as well as to shelter Somali refugees. He wished success for the
coming parliamentary elections.
