Sixth Waqf Forum Concludes Session in Doha

Doha, May 15 (QNA) - The sixth Waqf Forum concluded sessions here today recommending a draft of international convention to organize endowment in the institutions of the Islamic world relating the jurisprudential views which contributing to resolving international disputes. After intensive discussions the waqf forum also recommended means to benefit from waqf in resolving the international conflicts by holding scientific meetings between specialists in the Islamic jurisprudence , public international law, international charitable work, management and economy. It also called for the establishment of the endowment institutions to finance the programme of the training and qualifying the group of experts from Islamic countries who are specialized in the methods and means of resolving international conflicts through Islamic ways. The participants confirmed necessity of submitting the recommendations to the relevant authorities, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Conference of Ministers of Awaqf in the Islamic countries and the Arab League. The two-day forum was organized by Qatar's Ministry of Awaqf and Islamic Affairs in collaboration with Kuwait Awaqf Public Foundation(KAPF)and the Islamic Development Bank Group(IDB) (QNA)
